Liturgy

The words we pray reflect what we believe and how we believe. This is the idea behind the Revised Roman Missal. If the words we use are more sacred, our attitude will likewise become more sacred.

The change in language from the 2nd Edition Missal to the 3rd Edition Missal is relatively small compared to the changes that occurred after Vatican II. It brought English to the Liturgy, but a serious that accompanied the vernacular also caused a deterioration in the sacredness of the liturgy.
