Homosexuality

What does the Catholic Church teach about homosexuality? Is it a disorder or something that should be fixed? Are the sacraments closed to homosexuals? The Catechism of the Catholic Church says that “under no circumstances can [homosexual acts] be approved” but that homosexual persons must be accepted with “respect, compassion, and sensitivity.” (2357-2359)

Understand the teaching on same-sex attraction and hear the stories of real people who have lived with the issue with the help of our many resources in this category.
