Scholastica [c. 480-543], sister of St. Benedict, is the patron of Benedictine Nuns. She would meet with her brother once a year near his monastery to discuss spiritual matters. At their last meeting, she begged him to stay the night. When he refused, she prayed to God and there was a sudden heavy rainstorm, which prevented him from leaving. Three days later she died and her soul ascended to heaven in the form of a dove. For some unknown reason, she is patron of convulsive children. She is also the patron of nuns. Her feast is February 10.
