This traditional chant sung by Still Waters on EWTN has become an increasingly popular devotional album (over 50,000 sold) for people who want to pray the sung chaplet on a regular basis.

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is a powerful prayer for mercy that was given to the world through spiritual Diary of Blessed Faustina Kowalska, a Polish nun and mystic who, in the 1930s, received an almost continuous series of revelations from the Lord about His mercy.

Given to Blessed Faustina by our Lord in 1935, the Chaplet is a powerful intercessory prayer that is recited or sung using ordinary Rosary beads.

Blessed Faustina writes that Our Lord asked her to encourage everyone to pray the Chaplet, and He attached extraordinary promises to its recitation.

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is taken from Divine Mercy in My Soul; The Diary of Sister Faustina Kowalska.

The music used on the recording is the traditional melody used for years by the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in Cracow, Poland.  Originally composed by Maria Smetkiewicz, it was adapted by Archbishop George H. Pearce, SM and Rev, Gerald Farrell, MM. Organ arrangement by Fr. Michael Barrett, CSsR.
