The Day America Abandoned the Declaration of Independence

On January 22nd, 1973, the United States Supreme Court declared that the Declaration of Independence – the original document that separated the Colonies from Great Britain, was no longer true. The principals that life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness were God-given, unalienable rights were abandoned for convenience and selfishness.

Over the last 39 years over 50 million children have been aborted in the United States.

Fortunately, the tide is turning. Planned Parenthood has lost over 25% of its donations. States are starting to de-fund the abortion giant. Clinic directors such as Abby Johnson have left and are telling the true story about Planned Parenthood.

In two weeks we will mark the 39th anniversary of Roe V. Wade. Here are some suggestions to mark the day:

  1. Start the pro-life novena on January 14th
  2. Wear a Precious Feet Pin
  3. Read the story of Abby Johnson, former Planned Parenthood Clinic Director
  4. Volunteer to do sidewalk counseling

Prayer to St. Thomas Aquinas for Catholic Schools Week

O Angelic Doctor, St. Thomas prince of theologians and guide of philosophers, shining ornament of the Christian world and light of the Church, heavenly patron of all Catholic Schools, who has wisdom without deceit and does impart it without envy, implore for us the Son of God, Who is wisdom itself, that, receiving within us the Spirit of wisdom, we may understand what you have taught and imitate what you have done, and that being made partakers of the wisdom and virtue in which you, while on earth, did ever shine, as the sun, we may at last enjoy with you eternally in heaven their sweetest fruits, praising the divine wisdom through endless ages. Amen.
