After lots of soul searching (we read the poems), research into the history and spirit of haiku (we looked up the proper number of syllables on Wikpiedia), research into Japanese (we learned how to spell haiku) we have been able to come up with the winners of our contest.
Turkish bow is bent
Noble Cross must surely fall
Lady breaks the string
Gazing from his See
Pius pleads and Moors retreat
Queen of Victory
Virtue of freemen
Allies of heart, aspired feats.
Vanquished servile foe.
