More Information on the Catholic Online Alleged Crimes

The problems Aquinas and More had with Catholic Online three years ago have been addressed so we have removed this post.

  1. Not only that, but technically it is illegal in most states to advertise your price as a “sale” or “special” when it is not. As a consumer, if you see this, you should report the store for investigation.

  2. Agreed, but don’t forget that some small businesses don’t get the big volume discounts like larger or online companies get. So, the sale price may represent the only percentage off that store can charge and still recover some of their cost. Of course, if they are guilty of inflating prices so the sale price is actually retail, fie on them!

  3. I am not referring to sites that give a small discount and label it as such, I’m talking about stores that are selling at or above retail and calling it a “low price” or “special price”. That’s just not honest.
