As a business owner you should always be looking for ways to save money. One easy way to do that is to make sure that you are earning rewards points on every account you have for your business.
We are enrolled in two rewards programs (checking, credit card) that have paid off nicely this year. The one for our checking account is free and the one for our credit card costs $75 a year. Since we pay off the credit card every month we don't have to worry about interest charges so the points we earn are pretty much “free.”
This month I was able to get a bunch of gift cards to use as employee rewards, free airfair to the Catholic Marketing trade show and free car rental for a week at the show. Total value ~ $1500. Not bad for a $75 yearly fee. And that's just for points earned since January.
If you aren't getting rewards points for your various banking accounts go contact your bank to find out how. I'll bet the cost, if any, will be worth it!
