Help the Catholics in China
Since we have always had a policy to not carry products from China because of the multitude of human rights violations there. This year we are going to do something positive by supporting the Cardinal Kung Foundation.
Cardinal Kung was imprisoned in 1955 as a bishop and spent the next 30 years in a Chinese prison before being released. In 1988 he traveled to Rome where he was told that the Pope had elevated him to Cardinal in 1979 secretly. This remained a secret until a public ceremony in Rome in 1991.
Cardinal Kung is still alive and is a beacon of hope to the persecuted Catholics, including many priests who have just disappeared. The Cardinal Kung Foundation is dedicated to assisting the Catholics in China through prayer, financial support and vocations.
In support of the Cardinal Kung Foundation, 10% of all sales today will be donated to their efforts.
