All About the Angels is a charming book that shows how the Angels have assisted people innumerable times in the past and how they continue to help us today-and how they would do even more than they do, if we would only ask them. Catholic Tradition teaches that God has given each of us a special Guardian Angel from the moment of our birth. In this book Fr. O'Sullivan explains that this Angel's great love for us can only be compared to that of a mother. Further, he shows how, with all their power and magnificence, the Angels are also immensely kind, faithful and generous-and actually even grateful for our own poor love, repaying us many times over for our little acts of love toward them. With their superior intelligence and power, they are willing and able to prevent accidents, to comfort us, to defend us from the attacks of the devil and to help us in our spiritual and temporal affairs.

Especially today – with the current great resurgence of interest in the Angels – is this present book a needed aid to distinguish the true from the false and the known from the unknown.  The Angels, by Fr. Pascal Parente, is a certain guide through the unseen and holy world of the angelic spirits – a book that will truly instruct, inspire and enthrall.

In response to actual questions many people have asked him about Angels (and Demons), well-known author and philosophy professor Peter Kreeft separates fact from fantasy and myth from reality as he answers 100 common questions about these spiritual beings. Based on a very popular college course he teaches on this subject, this book responds to the incredible amount of interest in angelic beings and attempts to clear up some of the misinformation abounding in the numerous books today on what we know about these mysterious spirits.

Angels and Devils has to be the most thorough book about the Angels yet written in modern times. Here, the best-selling author, Joan Carroll Cruz expounds upon the traditional definitions and delineations of the Angels, asking and answering virtually every conceivable question about them:  E.g., what are they, how do we know they exist, when were they created, do they really have wings, do they know the future, do they know our thoughts, do they have names, do they have emotions, do they converse with each other, how fast do they travel, what are their assignments, how do we know we have Guardian Angels, are they appointed at conception or birth or Baptism, do non-Christians have Guardian Angels, and so forth. Then, after answering all these questions about the Angels, and many more besides, she does the same with regard to the devils.

A Book of Angels

Modern believers may be tempted to look upon angels as one of the more fanciful elements of Scripture, but this illuminating and entertaining collection of angel stories from the Bible shows that there are just too many angels for them to be metaphorical, allegorical, or unimportant.

So that children will come to know and learn to revere angels, Marigold Hunt explains what angels are (and are not!) and gathers here in one volume most of the stories of angels in the Bible.

The Guardian Angels reveals one of God's “secrets” about how He guides and governs the world:  by assigning a Guardian Angel to watch over each person, diocese, town, parish, etc.  It explains the many services these blessed spirits perform for us–protecting souls and bodies in ways both miraculous and “ordinary.”  It also shows how the Catholic teachings on the Guardian Angels are gfound in Sacred Scripture and in writings of Church.

Richly illustrated with fine art, Saints and Angels describes the lives and works of many familiar and unfamiliar saints and angels.  Among those included are the Apostles, John the Baptist, Joan of Arc, Elizabeth Ann Seton, St. Patrick, Francis of Assisi, and many more.  Details of feast days and patronages are also discussed.  Coverage includes information about choirs of angels, guardian angels and fallen angels.

St. Michael and the Angels  is a beautiful and inspiring book telling all about the angels. Filled with stories from the lives and writings of the saints, it tells of the role which the good angels play in the divine economy of saving souls. Led by St. Michael, the Prince of the heavenly host, the angels act as our guardians, serve as messengers from God to us and from us to God, surround the altar during Mass, and bear the graces of the Mass like incense to the altar of God on high.

DO angels and demons really exist, or were they fabricated by the Church in the Middle Ages to frighten the populace into submission? Early Christian writers were clear on the matter. Here's what they had to say:
