In case you haven't heard, Pope Benedict XVI has declared that the next year, starting on the feast of St. John Vianney, will be “the Year of the Priest.”
Due to the important nature of the theme and the rather essential role that priests play in the continuation of the Catholic Church (the Mass, Confession, etc.), we are dedicating our weekly Aquinas and More newsletter for the entire year to the Year of the Priest.
Starting in June, each issue will be dedicated to a different topic.
There will be a monthly biography of a priest of heroic virtue. Some of these will be about priests you know well such as St. John Vianney. Others will be much lesser known, more recent priests.
There will be a monthly mini-apologetics lesson on a topic related to the priesthood. Topics will include the necessity of the ordained priesthood, the necessity of the priest for Confession and papal infallibility among others.
One newsletter each month will be about services and products we offer related to the priesthood.
Finally, one newsletter each month will be focused on the liturgical year and have information about upcoming feasts with prayers and quotes from saints related to the season, like our current newsletter.
So how can you pass up a free inspiring biography, liturgical information and free apologetics lesson each month? Sign up for the Aquinas and More newsletter today. Good Faith. Guaranteed.
