Catholic Activity Books
Don’t let your child’s religious education end when Sunday school is dismissed. With a slew of fun and engaging – as well as edifying – activity kits and projects, you can integrate religious education into every aspect of home life. Whether you homeschool your children, or would primarily use these resources on weekends and family fun nights, these great activity books and kits are ideal for combining catechesis and fun! For children, playing is also learning, so incorporate these Catholic activities into your children’s daily lives and encourage family faith time as well.
Seasonal Activity and Devotion Books
To reinforce the importance and value of holy days and seasons throughout the liturgical year, we offer several season-specific or subject-specific activity books, such as Lent and Easter in the Domestic Church, Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany in the Domestic Church, and Marian Devotions in the Domestic Church. These three spiral-bound activity books are filled with activities for children and families to better understand church seasons and devotions. Just a small example of what you may find in the Marian Devotions in the Domestic Church activity book includes information about Marian feasts, rosary making instructions, cross stitch patterns, coloring pages, gardening ideas and much more. The Advent and Christmas edition will teach your children Christmas songs and provide patterns and guides for making nativity scenes, table runners, a Jesse Tree and other crafts. You can read stories, make a Paschal Candle, a Stations of the Cross set, a Family Altar, the Seder Meal, activities and homemade breads among other things with the Lent and Easter in the Domestic Church activity book. The great thing about books like these is that they have activities for younger elementary and preschool aged children, as well as projects and information to keep the interest of older children.

Catholic Family Activities and Traditions
If you are looking for a more inclusive guide or activity book to use throughout the whole year, consider A Treasure Chest of Catholic Traditions, which includes ideas for every season such as All Saints day parties, Passion Plays, Holy Card memory matching, and making a rosary poster with potato stamps. Catholic Traditions in the Home and Classroom is, as the title suggests, ideal for both the school and home setting and includes step-by-step instructions on how to use cooking, crafts and gardening to teach and enrich Catholic family traditions. Also now available again are the beloved, classic Catholic Children’s Treasure Box books; beautiful, inspirational and timeless books full of stories, poems, games, and craft ideas for children.
If you are looking for a strong catechesis resource for elementary through middle school children, we also carry 100 Activities Based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church, a hearty book of worksheets, game instructions, and project ideas based on the Catechism. It is primarily designed to supplement a religious education program, but even if you don’t school your children at home, it can also be used at home to reinforce the concepts children have learned in their R.E. setting.

Art and Craft Kits
Children love to color, work with glue, plastic decorations, stickers, stamps and more. With these fun crafts kits, your kids can go to town doing art projects, and have the chance to learn more about their faith as well.
Instead of a Popsicle stick birdhouse, why not build a Marian grotto? These kits come with stones, wooden sticks and an image of Mary so you can color and construct your own Marian grotto for the table top or to hang. Also available is a complete Stations of the Cross kit – making this Stations set together will give your family a chance to talk more about Christ’s passion, while allowing your children to get creative with colors and glue. Or build and use this movable 3-D Passion Play kit to teach about the importance of Holy week. Make some Jesse Tree Ornaments this Advent season, and your children can even color their own Marian apparition trading cards! And of course, you can never go wrong with the childhood favorite, coloring books, now available in a variety of Catholic themes.
