 General Description:

The Word & Workshop Workbook for Year C provides formational material grounded in the Gospel of Luke, its attendant readings and the celebration of the liturgy.  After the introductory chapters, the volume provides a thorough exegesis of the three readings for each Sunday and major feast.  It suggests step-by-step ways for catechesis to guide adults in their reflections on the readings and the liturgy, relating their own stories to the word of God.  Also included are reflections on doctrine that flow from the liturgy.  In this way liturgy and church doctrine become an invitation to decision, personal transformation and action.

The workbook also includes material for three Lenten Sundays of Year A- readings that serve as a call to conversation and that are central to the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults.  The doctrinal appendix contains foundational beliefs embedded in the scriptures, seasons and liturgies.
