 Our Description

This set of plays includes:

  • An Advent Nativity Play - (4 main actors plus 6 others) The events of the Nativity story beginning with Zechariah in the Temple. This is aversion that will absorb the attention of adults and present a perspective so real that it is both a delight to present and to watch! An original song, recorded on the companion CD, is a heartfelt glimpse into the awesome task Joseph is about to undertake; one you will not soon forget.
  • Grandfather Tells the Story - (1 main actor plus several children) Grandfather is an aged shepherd fromt he outskirts of Bethlehem. During the Roman reign of Caesar Augustus, he had been with his flock in the field when the magnificent outpouring of heavenly love appeared in the night sky announcing the birth of the child Jesus. His grandchildren love to hear the story told to them over and over about the night he and the other shepherds followed the star to the stable where the infant lay. This play shares in one of thse story-telling moments, one in which Grandfather speaks of the connection between the birth of Jesus and his ultimate death. Beautiful original ballad for the final scene tells the story in music!
  • Last Chance - (5 actors) A two-act play with a surprise ending after Our Heavenly Father almost gives up on the human race. This is a play designed for fun! This can be presented by youth as well as adults and makes a wonderful opportunity for a fund raiser.
  • Last Supper Dinner Play - (up to 60 characters) Please don't confuse this as an ordinary "dinner play." It is a reverent experience of the Last Supper for actors and audience participants alike. This play will bring you into the events wherein Jesus Christ forever transformed the Passover lamb into the Paschal Feast. It is a large production and involves many people - perfect for community building in your church. This play is bursting with significance for all who attend, and comes complete with instructions for every aspect of your event to make even a newcomer to staging plays an accomplished Director!
  • Miracle in Yan Yang Prison - (1 main actor and up to 12 supporting actors) Father Patrick Reilly died peacefully on January 25, 1998 at the age of 76, a priest for 52 years. Ordained only six months prior to his arrest by Chinese Communists, Fr. Reilly spent 14 months as a prisoner for the crime of being a Catholic. By the miraculous chain of events that brought tiny bits of both bread and wine into his cell, Fr. Reilly celebrated Mass on the Feast of the Assumption with only the fllor and cuff of his shirt on which to lay the Host. He wrote, "Jesus Christ was really present with me in that cell. All other visitors had been prevented from coming near me because of many locked doors. But they could not stop the King of Kings." This is a poignant portrayal of those events.
  • The Evening News - (8 actors) This one-act play uses the inspiration of imagination to suggest what the newscasts of Holy Week might have been for the parents of Peter and Andrew if they had possessed a radio. It is an amazing production; simple yet riveting in its meaning. This is a somewhat frightening drama; certainly an emotional one. All sound effects are included.
  • The Joyful Mysteries - (10 actors) So often the amazing events that occured to Mary in the Scriptures are overlooked as opportunities for meditation. This simple six-act play takes an imaginative look at the startling events of the Annunciation, the Visitation, the Nativity, the Presentation, and the Finding in the Temple. Rooted in Scriptures, the events achieve depth and significance to our modern lives through this script. The members of the audience, and indeed the actors, will forever be changed in the way they see the holy and simple girl known ass Blessed, Joseph, her spouse, Zechariah and Elizabeth, Anne and Joachim, Simeon and the prophetess Anna.
  • You are the Jury- (10 actors) An audience participation one-act play about what the future may hold. This one-act play gives the audience an opportunity for involvement as jurors. After observing the presentation, the audience is asked to reflect on what they have been presented and prepare for a vote. After sufficient time a vote is taken and the verdict is presented to the judge who readsout the verdict of someone being a Christian. What will your audience decide?

This is a set of eight separately bound plays, two CDs with program covers, sound effects, original lyrics & music for two songs and More.
