God's Library
A Catholic Introduction to the World’s Greatest Book
Item Number: 22207
Understanding God begins with a proper understanding of Scripture. In God's Library, Joe Paprocki, a veteran catechist and Bible authority, guides readers into a basic understanding of the 73 books that Catholics regard as the definitive written revelation of God.
In easy-to-understand language, Paprocki explains the organization of the Bible, the different genres of biblical writing, key figures in biblical history, and the methods Catholics have developed to interpret the Bible properly. He also shows beginning readers how to use commentaries, concordances, footnotes, and other valuable tools of Bible study. God's Library helps those new to God's Word interpret it properly, which, in turn, leads to a deeper understanding of God.
Joe Paprocki has been a catechetical leader and religious educator in the Chicago area for more than twenty years. His books include God's Library and Living the Mass (Loyola Press). He is the associate director of catechetical services at Loyola Press in Chicago.
