 General Description:

The Child Jesus answers Michael's prayer and meets with him personally on Christmas Eve. Both Michael and Jesus are 10 years old and share "five minutes" together, each minute a different adventure of faith and charity to different individuals in different parts of the world. Each "minute" contains an element of goodness and reflection regarding the Child Jesus' closeness in people's lives. At the end of each encounter, Michael is surprised to notice that only one minute has passed. The final minute leaves Michael with a mission that he must continue once the two have separated. A prayer concludes this Christmas tale. The idea for the story came from students at the Irish Institute of Rome. The book has been translated from the Italian edition an is beautifully illustrated.

Fr. Alvaro Correa, a former humanities professor, is formator of diocesan seminarians at Maria Mater Ecclesiae Pontifical International College in Rome. Translated from the Spanish by John Studer L.C. in collaboration with Josef Rodriguez, Lucio Boccacci, Peter DeGoede, and Justin Nevarez L.C.
