This round sterling silver St. Cosmas and Damian medal is 3/4in. in diameter.  The two men were brothers and were physicians who didn't charge for their services, thus winning many converts.  Their feast day is September 26.  The medal comes with an 18in. stainless steel chain in a deluxe gift box.

Physician who accepted no payment, charity which brought many to Christ. Martyr. The two suffered no injury during tortures. Many fables grew up about the brothers, connected in part with their relics. Died: martyred c.303 Damian is the twin brother of Saint Cosmas.
