 General Description:

This Annunciation Icon Christmas Card comes in a set of 15 Christmas cards and 16 deluxe gold foil lined envelopes. Cards measure 4 1/2"x6 1/4" when folded.

Inside verse:

May the wondrous gift of Christmas, the Infant Jesus, fill your spirit with Joy and hope.
"Behold, you shall bear a son and name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and of his kingdom there will be no end." (Luke 1:31-33)

The back of the card reads:

This icon is based upon the first chapter of Luke’s Gospel where it is recorded that Mary received the message from Gabriel that she would conceive. Mary is imaged in this icon as queen, chosen by God to be mother of His Son. The skein of wool Mary holds represents the knitting of Christ in her womb. She gave her very being to be a vessel of God through the power of the Holy Spirit. Within Mary’s being, the divine and the human are woven together in the incarnate God for the salvation of the world.
