The Bible speaks of the east - the rising sun- as "the front", while the south is called "at the right hand" and the west "in back".The first Christians made it a point to stand facing east when they prayed. The rising sun is a timeless symbol of Christ rising from the dead and our rising to "newness of life" (Rom. 6:4). To indicate the east, many painted a mark (a cross) on the east wall of their room, or attached a wall cross upon it as a sign of their salvation.
The Wheat and Grapes Wall Cross measures 6 inches. This graceful cross is a true work of art. Crafted of solid polished pewter with purple enamel color. Screws included. Gift boxed and Handcrafted in Pennsylvania.
