"Timothy E. O'Connell has written a gem of a book for parents as well as for those adults who care about children. With humor, insight, and a strong sense of Christian values, he engages the reader with an exploration of what it means to educate children to be morally responsible and happy human beings. No condescension here; no pious platitudes; no hard-sell prescriptions for fixing up what is wrong with families. Instead, the author lures us to reflect on the beauty and power of simple, everyday interactions of adults and children. Through sharing stories from his own experience, he helps us to notice the moments of grace in our own lives. This is a book that is simply profound and it is a joy to read." - Gloria Durka, Ph.D., Professor of Religious Education and Family Ministry, Fordham University.
