 General Description:

This is a contemporary Greek icon by N. Lionda of St. Philip the Apostle, who preached in Asia and Greece, killing a huge snake by his prayers in Hieropolis.  The townsfolk crucified him and the Apostle Bartholomew upside down, but only Philip died.
