St. Patrick the Enlightener Icon
8 Inches Wide
Item Number: 60623
This icon is part of a modern, vibrant series of icons produced by the Benedictine iconographers of Conception Abbey, one of the largest and oldest Benedictine foundations in the U.S. Proceeds from the sale of these icons go to support both the abbey community of monks and the formation of candidates for the priesthood who are studying at Conception Seminary College. These beautiful icons are mounted on a wood base in the traditional style of the Christian East.
One of the West’s most popular Saints and the patron of the Irish, St. Patrick is a great witness to spiritual power and triumph over adversity. This icon contains traditional imagery associated with him done in an Eastern style. St. Patrick is called Enlightener (or apostle), because he was the greatest missionary to Ireland. A must have for those with Celtic ancestry, or for anyone with zeal for spreading the Gospel.
