This beautiful laminated holy card shows St. Blase as a bishop, blessing a child with two candles.  St. Blase is the patron of those with throat diseases and his feast day is February 3.  On the back of the card is the following prayer:

Dear St. Blase, lover of souls, you willingly bore heavy crosses in faithful imitation of Jesus.  Similarly, with Christlike compassion you cured many sufferers.  Then after undergoing horrible tortures you died as a martyr for Christ.

O compassionate St. Blase, if it is agreeable to Our Heavenly Father, obtain a cure for my ills.
