 General Description:

This is a modern Greek icon of the Son of Consolation, the Holy Apostle Barnabas, one of the 70.  A student together with Saul of Tarsus at Gamaliel's school, he prayed fervently for Saul's conversion, and later preached with Ss. Paul and Mark, dying later on Cyprus.
