Sister Mary Mackillop is one of Australia’s unsung heroes. She was recently beatified by Pope John Paul II. She founded the Sisters of St. Joseph over one hundred years ago to bring education to the poor and underprivileged. She was misunderstood by the Church during her time and was harshly treated with exile, but she persevered in her love of the poor. This is her story.
