Using the exquisite music of the Gregorian chant, the recordings describe and illuminate the life of Christ. Sung by the Gloriae Dei Cantores Schola and conducted by Dr. Mary Berry, C.B.E., these renowned experts bring a wealth of experience and worship to the interpretation of the chant. A highlight of the third volume is the chanting of the entire Gospel Passion. Through brief antiphons and longer chants, Christ's Resurrection and Ascension are also described, and finally the recording concludes with the coming of the Holy Spirit and a powerful organ paraphrase of the Te Deum by Jean Langlais. These recordings were made in the superb acoustics of the Church of the Transfiguration, a modern-day abbey stone church.
