The Founding of Christendom
A History of Christendom, Vol. 1
Item Number: 2771
The first volume in the landmark six volume series which deals with the life of Christ and the founding of His Church, along with the preparations for His coming among both Israelites and Gentiles, and a survey of history up to the conversion of the Roman Emperor Constantine. This is Christian history that both informs and inspires— written in a style of unmatched quality.
This series is the only in-print, comprehensive narration of Western history written from an orthodox Catholic perspective. How would a historical narrative read if the author began with the first principles that truth exists and the Incarnation happened? This series is essential reading for those who consider the West worth defending.
Warren H. Carroll holds a Ph.D. in history from Columbia University. Recognized as a leading Catholic historian, Carroll was the founder and first president of Christendom College in Front Royal, Virginia, where he was also the first chairman of the history department. Among his books are five volumes of a projected six-volume general history of the Christian West; a comprehensive history of international communism; a biography of Queen Isabel of Spain; and shorter historical works about the apparitions of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Our Lady of Fatima.
