 Our Description

This stunning gold tone cross is a perfect representation of the legend of the dogwood. As the legend goes, the wood used to make the cross used to crucify Jesus was carved from Dogwood. After his crucifixion, Jesus was said to alter the tree to its current form by dwarfing its growth. This would ensure the end of its use for making crosses. The blooms have four petals, forming the shape of a cross, with brownish notches representing marks made by nails. Set with a sparkling Peridot color crystal, the bloom itself is carved of glowing silver tone metal. The silver bloom set against the gold tone chain and cross makes a bold contrast. A wonderful way to express ones faith and to share the legend with others.
