The Bible speaks of the east -the rising sun - as "in front", while the south is called "at the right hand" and the west ''in back". The first Christians made it a point to stand facing the east when they prayed. The rising sun is a timeless symbol of Christ rising from the dead and our walking "in newness of life" (Rom. 6:9). To indicate the east, many painted a mark (a cross) on the east wall of their room, or attached a wall cross upon it as a sign of their salvation.
The Communion Wall Cross measures 6 inches. It is a celebration of the intimate bond between Christ and His community. Crafted of sold polished pewter with antiquing in recessed areas. Gift Boxed. Screws included. Handcrafted in Pennsylvania.
