Mary Dixon Thayer was a celebrated writer who penned theses lovely poems and prayers for Catholic children of the 1920s, 30s and 40s. This gem went through a stream of printings over the years at Macmillan, the prestigious New York house. (Yes, there was a time when children were allowed to be children, and were nourished with religious titles from big publishers.) A grandmother of 12 called this title to the current publishers attention, and lent it to Roman Catholic Books for reprinting.
