This compilation of five Gregorian Masses was produced at one of the most significant moments for the Choir of the Monastery of Silos. The influence of their masters from Saint Pierre de Solesmes can be perceived throughout the recording, as they approach Gregorian chant like total prayer, following the musical instincts of Dom. A. Mocquereau and Dom. Pothier, who are the great spirits of the Gregorian renaissance at the dawn of the twentieth century.
