St. Veronica Icon

 General Description:

This is a reproduction of a modern Greek icon of St. Veronica, the woman that Christ healed of an issue of blood because of her great faith.  Veronica means "icon of faith."  She is shown holding the Holy Napkin, the earliest image of Christ.

This reproduction print is mounted on a wood plank, in the traditional style of the Christian East.

Feast Day: Roman Rite Calendar - 07/12 Tridentine Calendar - 07/12 Patron Of: Photographers, Laundry Workers Profile When Christ fell on his way to the Golgotha, a woman wiped his face with a towel; an image of Christ remained on the towel.
