No Turning Back - A Witness to Mercy

Many who know of Fr. Donald Calloway know him because of his conversion story. He has spoken of it at conferences, on television, radio, online, and wherever he can spread the message. This book finally captures in print how Divine Mercy, through the intercession of the Blessed Mother, touched his life.

In his own words, No Turning Back recounts Fr. Donald's personal story of conversion after reading a book about Our Lady.

Though today he is a devout Catholic Marian priest, Fr. Donald's early years were no indication of what was to come. Before his conversion to Catholicism, he was a high school dropout who had been kicked out of a foreign country, institutionalized twice and thrown in jail multiple times. Discovering a book on Our Lady led to his conversion and ardent love of Mary and the Church.

As a priest in the Congregation of Marians of the Immaculate Conception, Fr. Donald Calloway has completed advanced studies in Mariology and strives to share his own love of Mary. Currently Fr. Donald is the House Superior of the Marian House of Studies in Steubenville, OH, and Vocation Director for the Marians.

This item received 5 stars overall. A captivating story from beginning to end

I recently had the opportunity to read Fr. Donald Calloway's No Turning Back A Witness to Mercy.  Reading this book was nothing short of captivating.  In fact, I had a really hard time putting this book down.  No Turning Back is Fr. Calloway's powerful conversion story.

As I read this book I found myself in shock and disbelief at much of what was in Fr. Calloway's description of his troubled youth.  If this was a fictional story I would have guessed that the author had an incredibly wild imagination and was trying way to hard to portray the ultimate bad boy.  Reconciling the fact that this was actually a non-fiction account of the past of a Catholic priest simply blew me away.   His story is one that grips you and takes you on a tour of his downward spiral into self-destruction.  Just when you think his life couldn't have gotten any worse y Full Review...

No Turning Back is a book worth reading for everyone. No matter where you are in your spiritual life, you will benefit from Father Calloway's experiences. I found this book to be one of the most captivating books I've read in a long time. Father story of his journey of faith was inspiring. From the minute I picked up the book, I was hooked. This book can easily be read in a few short days with the way it captivates the reader.

This item received 4 stars overall. A wonderful book about a man's conversion from a drug-addicted criminal to a Catholic priest

If you are interested in reading an engaging conversion story, a story of a very bad boy who later became a conservative Catholic priest, No Turning Back may be just the book for you.

Fr. Donald Calloway was the son of a teen-aged mother and father. Their marriage included moving far from friends and family, and ended up not lasting long. His mom returned to her father's house for a while before marrying an alcoholic. In order to support the family, his mother joined the Navy and left him with his step-father while she attended boot camp. Their marriage too did not last long. His mom's third husband was a Navy officer, and with him at the lead, the family moved frequently during Donald's pre-teen and teen years. He resented this and got involved in drugs and crime. While they were in Japan, he and a friend ran away from home and lived off of petty and not so pett Full Review...
