 Our Description

This round 12kt. gold-filled St. Genesius medal is 3/4in. in diameter. It depicts St. Genesius on stage standing by a baptismal font.  St. Genesius was a Roman actor who was hired to act in a play which ridiculed Christian Baptism.  During the play, he realized the truth of the Christian Faith and he converted on the spot.  When he refused to renounce the Faith, he was beheaded on order of the emperor.  St. Genesius is the patron of actors, dancers, attorneys, clowns and victims of torture.  The medal comes with an 18in. gold plated brass chain in a deluxe gift box.

    An Actor hired to work in a play that made fun of Christian Baptism. In the middle of the performance he suddenly received a word from God, suddenly realized the truth of Christianity, and converted on stage. He refused to renounce his new faith, even at the emperor's orders, and was martyred by order of emperor Diocletian.
