Knowing the lives of the saints helps us to gain strength and insight for our own spiritual journey. Having a resource that provides a general overview of their lives allows a parent to gently introduce their child to these heroes. Fr. Lovasik’s Picture Book of the Saints provides just such an overview.
 
Covering the lives of more than 120 of the most well-known saints (and some more obscure ones), Fr. Lovasik’s book is a delight to own.  It includes a brief biographical overview with birth and death dates, feast days, and important events for each saint's life.  Next to an image of the saint there is the date of their feast, the opening prayer from the liturgy for their feast, and a short list of what that saint is the patron of.
 
In the front of the book there is a table of contents that lists all the included saints list Full Review...
