Meditations for women, not just mothers.

I was hoping for something that would help me feel closer to God during the ups and downs of motherhood. This didn't really do that. It was enjoyable and a few pieces that were truly wonderful. Unfortunately, for the most part I was a bit let down by this.

It wasn't exactly written for mothers so much as just women in general. Any woman could have picked this book up and benefited from it. I honestly felt like I could hand this book to any woman no matter what her role in life. I had been expecting something that I would want to give to every mother I know but not every woman. This detail makes me hesitate to recommend it to mothers without giving them a bit of a disclaimer that the title doesn't completely fit the contents of the book.
