Easy Latin Gregorian Chants for the faithful according to the intent of the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy Second Vatican Council.

This book, being sent as a gift to  all the bishops, is a response to the wishes of the Supreme Pontiff. In it are collected some of the more simple melodies. These are the ones that the faithful - especially on the occasion of the forthcoming Holy Year - can sing together.

In this way Gregorian Chant will remain a bond which, in the name of Christ, can gather many peoples together into a family united in heart, in mind, and in voice. Such a thrust towards unity, expressed by a harmony of voices singing in a variety of words, rhythms, and melodies, wonderfully manifests the diverse harmony of the one Church.

May God grant that this common desire to be happily realized and that the heart of the Church at prayer throughout the whole world may, by these pleasing and pious melodies, joyfully accord with those in heaven above.
