What warnings did he want to give to his people and to us? Did some of his oracles find definitive fulfillment in Jesus?

This readable introduction to one-fourth of the Old Testament can also provide food for Advent or Lenten reflection.

Fr. Richard T. A. Murphy is a former professor of Sacred Scripture and Newman Club director. He has been active in parish ministry and has written many books and articles. Now retired, Fr. Murphy lives in New Orleans.
