 Our Description

The Holy Bible, Douay-Rheims translation

Even after all of the modern "revisions" of the Bible that are now available to Catholics, many still think that the Douay-Rheims version, (the only Catholic English bible in use for almost 400 years) is the very best ever produced.

This black bonded leather, hard-bound copy is beautiful enough to be a family bible. Apart from the classic translation of the Douay-Rheims bible, this bible also contains the encyclical from Pope Leo XIII on the study of the Holy Scripture.

In addition to sharp, readable text, you will find also inside this Bible - printed endsheets, 2 marking ribbons (in gold and red satin), maps, an index, 32 classic woodcut illustrations and family register pages.

Included are several pages of maps, woodcuts of various scenes, and a translation of the entire text of Leo XIII's encyclical letter Providentissimus Deus. The Table of Contents also includes the names of Full Review...
