 General Description:

Be Holy - A Catholic's Guide to the Spiritual Life
By Father Thomas G. Morrow

Foreword by Archbishop Donald W. Wuerl

"Strive for heavenly happiness. The journey is hard but sweet."-From Chapter One

If you're hoping to get to heaven, you'll need a plan to reach your goal. Do you pray? Give any thought to the virtues? Do works of mercy? And what about the sacraments? Been to confession lately? Are you doing any spiritual reading?

This handy manual not only presents all the elements of a successful life, it also helps you incorporate those elements into everyday practice. Be Holy is the guide you need to achieve holiness now and heaven later.

Fr. Thomas G. Morrow is a priest of the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C., and author of Christian Courtship in an Oversexed World and Achieving Chastity in a Pornographic World. He holds a doctorate in sacred theology from the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family at the Catholic University of America.

This item received 5 stars overall. Excellent primer on living life for heaven!

For years, I have thought that attaining holiness was impossible for someone like me.  Indeed, as I was living life, it was.  I lived purely for myself even though I was married.  For some reason, after having a child, however, it doesn't seem like as much of a stretch.   It seemed to me that being holy was something that OTHER people were.   People like Blessed Mother Theresa or St. Augustine or St. Thomas Aquinas.   You know, smart and people chosen by God.  Recently, the readings have touched on the fact that we are all called to holiness.  Holiness isn't just something you are, it is something you DO!

What is your plan to get to heaven?  Do you have a plan?  You should!  You have financial plans, exercise plans, vacation plans and even dinner plans.  But no plans for your eternal life?  Full Review...
