Much of Wong's story remained blocked from memory until recent, gentle talks with coauthor Claudia Devaux drew it out.  Set in a broader cultural context, the narrative allows readers to appreciate this unique personal account of how one man bridged East and West to live out his Jesuit vocation and serve Chinese Christians in our time.
