Spanish Statue Finishes

Our gorgeous church statuary from Spain is some of the most beautiful that you can put in your church. It is hand-made and hand-painted by a company that has been producing statues since 1880.

There are a few things to know before purchasing one of our statues.

First, these statues are made to order and are coming directly from Spain so they take six to twelve weeks to arrive.

Second, each is hand-painted so you will never see the exact same statue as is in the picture.

Third, the statue maker only provides one picture of each saint even though the statue is available in a variety of finishes. Here in America we expect what-you-see-is-what-you-get but that isn't how things work in Europe. The statues we sell come in two finishes. The first is the most popular, the “Fine” finish. This finish features beautiful gold-color details on the clothing and a marble-look for the base.

The second finish we offer is the “Superior” finish. This finish takes the “Fine” finish as the starting point but then makes the skin much more lifelike, the clothing much richer in color and the decorations not only more detailed, but pre-engraved in places to give them extra depth. This finish is truly exquisite.

Fourth, the finishes we offer come with simpler halos than are seen in some of the pictures. Here is an example of the halo you would expect to see on our statues.

Finally, because each statue is hand-made to order, they are not returnable. Please be sure that you know exactly what you want before purchasing.

Keeping these things in mind will help you to choose the best Spanish statue for your parish. If you have more questions, please contact us.
