Chaplet of St. Anne

Did you know there is a Chaplet of St. Anne?
It is prayed on the beads of St. Anne, consisting of the medal of St. Anne and eighteen beads.
This little chaplet dates back to 1875.  The author is unknown.
This chaplet is the source of a great number of favors both spiritual and temporal.

The chaplet is said by starting on the first bead following the medal of St. Anne, on which the Our Father is recited. The first decade of five beads, honors Jesus, and a Hail Mary is said on each of the five beads, followed by the Our Father completing each decade.

The second decade of five beads, honors Mary, and a Hail Mary is said on each of the five beads, followed by the Our Father.

The last decade, honors St. Anne, and a Hail Mary is said on each of the five beads, followed by the Our Father. On each of the Hail Mary beads the following is said: “Jesus, Mary, St. Anne. Please grant me the favor I ask.” (mention your request)

Offer this prayer to complete the chaplet:

O God, be with us in our time of trial.
Protect us, Lord, from every evil.
Good St. Anne, you were especially favored by God to be the mother of the most holy Virgin Mary, the Mother of our Savior.
By your power with your most pure daughter and with her divine Son, kindly obtain for us the grace and favor we now seek.
Please secure for us also forgiveness for our past sins, the strength to perform faithfully our daily duties, and the help we need to persevere in the love of Jesus and Mary. Amen.”
