1st Communion doesn't count, it's April Fool's Day!

I remember my First Communion Day was only myself and another child at St Pius X in Dallas.  A wonderful day until we were leaving and my cousin Fred (a yr older & celebrated 1st Communion already) said to me, “Terri, your 1st Communion doesn’t count, it’s April Fool’s Day!” (It was April 1, 1973)   Of course the tears started, my mom, aunts & grandparents asked what’s wrong. The next thing I remember is Fred getting in lots of trouble.

I share this story every year with the children & their parents during the Eucharist Workshop at St Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church where I am the Children’s Minister. Theresa Crow

I could only watch part of the Star Wars thing. I think I might need counseling now to help me recover from the trauma!

Ooooh! Happy Life Day! I can't believe that was ever aired, or that the actors actually consented to take part. Yech.
