 General Description:

The Five-fold Scapular is a Redemptorist Scapular. The original was a 4-fold Scapular which became 5 with the addition of the Passion Scapular after St. Alphonsus's time. The Five-fold Scapular consists of two or more pieces of woolen cloth worn over the shoulders. They are the five most popular Scapulars approved of, in the Church. They are each approved separately, and are all approved when worn all-together (as the Five-fold): Brown, Black, Blue, Trinity white, and Passion Red.
